The last single will be released on June 29th. The title is Fukusayou (translatable as "side effect"?). This time, it seems it will have a bonus track, so all in all it consists of 4 songs (tracklist not available yet). If you wanna grab a copy, Brand-X already has it up for pre-order!

Pre-order at Brand-X

edit: here's the tracklist:

01. 副作用 (Fukusayou)
02. プラットホーム (Platform)
03. 告別 (Kokubetsu)
04. [a yet unnamed bonus track]

By the way, new profile pics are up on the official site. ^^

Not much information yet, but it seems that the band announced their last single yesterday, on the 2-man gig with cocklobin. All we know so far is that it will be released sometime in June.

I'm really happy they'll treat us one more time with their awesome music, but still so sad that they're breaking up...

I think you all know by now what I'm talking about.

Today Japan has experienced the largest earthquake in its recorded history (8.9 magnitude), which also created huge tsunami waves on the Pacific ocean that have devastated the north-eastern Japanese coastline.

The prefecture that has directly experienced the earthquake was Miyagi (capital city - Sendai), other prefectures include Fukushima, Ibaraki, Tochigi, as well as Iwate, Gunma, Saitama, Chiba and Tokyo.

Kecchi has confirmed on his blog that all the members of KGF are safe and sound; there's no need to worry.

On the other hand, let's pray for all the victims of this tragedy; there are already 1,000 people dead and another 500 are missing.

Let's pray for Japan.

Kecchi posted the tracklist and a black pic on his blog. He says something about it but my Japanese is seriously lacking, lol. Anyway, here's the tracklist for the upcoming single (released on March 30).

01. エクスタシー (Ecstasy)
02. 家出少女のように (Iedeshoujo no you ni)
03. スロウ、ダンス (Slow, Dance)

I'm confused now... according to JMusic Europa KYOKUTOU GIRL FRIEND will "change into" that FAR EAST KANOJO whatever (also, a few people here and there on the net are/has been convinced about this). However, I don't remember any official announcement from the band itself.

I suspect it's just some sort of misunderstanding, but better to make sure.

We all know already about KGF's disbandment.

The boys have prepared short messages to all the fans concerning their decision; here's my translation.

Original to be found HERE.

For finding this living in underground KYOKUTOU GIRL FRIEND, thank you.Collapse )

* I don't know how to translate this at the moment, it's 1 am here and I am not thinking anymore. Any ideas?

I can't find the right words to describe what I feel. I'm still way too shocked to think clearly. Let's just... support them until the end, right? They deserve it. The best underground Japanese band ever...

I am still in shock and can't really digest all this but... it looks like KYOKUTOU GIRL FRIEND will disband. They will have their last live "FAR EAST LULLABY" in Shinjuku LOFT on July 29th.

Official statement of the band (could anyone please translate this?)

BRB crying in the corner... T__T

Just a heads-up for you guys: there's a new main pic on the OHP and the guys have new profile pics too! Dark-haired Linda = I approve! :D

Clickety-click-click!

Also, Kecchi uploaded two fun band pics onto his blog: entry 1 / entry 2

By the way the guys finished recording the single this week (as documented in Kecchi's blog if you wanna check it out), and mastering starts today (I think?). Can't wait for the actual single!!!

The guys opened a special webpage for their altegero/side-project F'Ar÷EAST†KANφJO who will be playing at HOLIDAY SHINJUKU on May 14th on the second night of the "GIGS" WEEKLY KGF concert series.

Clickity-click-click!

Members:
Voice: LINDA
Guitar: KETCH
Bass: SEXY ROSE SULLEY (lol)
Drums: AMφN

They list the May concert in their shedule, and also have a discography section that says "first demotape Ecstasy" is in production. I guess they're just comically referring to their coming single, or it might be something of a special live-only version? We'll see, hopefully. :D

Nothing major but it seems Amon (drummer) is not going to be present on the band's live on February 7 at Ikebukuro CHOP because of some health problems. However, it is expected that he will be better soon and will resume playing at Shinjuku LOFT on February 15.

It doesn't sound like anything serious (thank God) but I do hope he gets better real soon!

In other news: the guys are launching a special series of concerts throughout May, called "GIGS" WEEKLY KGF. As the title shows, they'll have a show every week with this theme at different venues. It also looks like the 2nd such show (May 14th, HOLIDAY SHINJUKU) will have a special performance by a formation called F'Ar÷EAST†KANφJO. I totally bet it's some kind of alterego band, LOL. :D
